Senior Partner Richard M. Jurewicz, Esq. has been with Galfand Berger for over 40 years. Rick has successfully recovered over 40 multi-million-dollar settlements and verdicts, totaling more than $250 million. He is board-certified in Civil Trial Law and Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is also among only 100 Pennsylvania attorneys inducted into the Outstanding Lawyers of America. Rick has been selected to the Super Lawyers list each year since 2004.

Managing Partner Michael P. Malvey, Esq. has achieved nearly $100 million in verdicts and settlements across more than 500 personal injury cases, focusing his practice on vehicle accidents, premises liability, construction accidents, and medical malpractice. A strong advocate for public service, Mike plays an active role as Chair of the Board of Directors for Esperanza Immigration Legal Services, sits as an Arbitrator and Judge Pro Tempore for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas,  and has offered pro bono services to community organizations throughout his career.  He recently earned a landmark unanimous decision from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, which expanded the rights of individuals injured in the state. This is Mike’s second year of being named to the Super Lawyers list.

Senior Partner Gabriela G. Raful, Esq. handles Workers’ Compensation, product liability, auto, and Social Security disability cases. Gabriela is a past President of the Berks County Bar Association, making history as the youngest and first racial minority and naturalized citizen to hold the position. She was one of only 11 attorneys selected statewide by the Pennsylvania Bar Association for its Leadership Institute Class and the first attorney from Berks County. Gabriela has also received the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Pro Bono Award for her volunteer legal services to disadvantaged and indigent individuals. She has been named to the Rising Stars list each year since 2021.

Senior Partner Bradley R. Smith, Esq. is a personal injury lawyer representing clients in cases involving complex product liability matters, construction accidents, and industrial accident cases. He has secured over $40 million for his clients. Brad is a prolific writer on product liability law and injured workers’ rights, having written numerous articles. He serves as the Newsletter Editor-in-Chief and on the Civil Litigation Council for the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Brad has been selected to the Rising Stars list each year since 2018.

Partner Farhan S. Ali, Esq. is an accomplished personal injury lawyer who handles complex cases, including premises liability and car accidents. Since joining Galfand Berger LLP in 2016, Farhan has worked on over 100 cases, securing $10 million in settlements and verdicts for his clients. Multilingual, Farhan is also the Vice President of the Board of Directors for HIAS Pennsylvania, which provides legal, resettlement, and support services to immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. Farhan has been named to the Rising Stars list each year since 2022.

Partner Brooke J. Elmi, Esq. handles a wide range of personal injury cases, including product liability, premises liability, dog bite incidents, construction accidents, bike assembly, and car accidents. Fluent in Spanish, Brooke represents many international clients from diverse backgrounds and communities. In 2022, she presented a compelling case before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in Merino v. Repak, B.V., leading to a favorable ruling and landmark decision. This is Brooke’s second year of being selected to the Rising Stars list.
