The NADC’s Selection Process

Per the organization’s website, the NADC employs a rigorous, objective, multi-stage selection process. The result is the identification of the finest attorneys in the country, named as the “Nation’s Top Attorneys” and the “Nation’s Top One Percent”. Candidates must successfully pass through the following four stages to be inducted into the organization:

  • Identification by an in-house research team or nomination by current or former clients or other practicing attorneys
  • NADC researchers vet potential recipients via information sourced from their public profiles, case results, client reviews, and firm websites. The researchers also evaluate several other factors, such as leadership in legal organizations, community involvement, education, trial experience, and more
  • A blue ribbon panel comprised of distinguished attorneys selects candidates to move on to the final stage, and:
  • A judicial review board made up of former judges assesses the blue ribbon panel’s selection list and makes the final decisions
