March 12, 2014 – Marla Soffer, an attorney at Galfand Berger, LLP, participated in the Semana de Educación Financiera (SEF) 2014, which was organized and presented by the Mexican Consulate in Philadelphia. Attendees had an opportunity to obtain information about various forms of financial assistance, banking, taxes and consumers’ rights. The event was held on March 10, 2014 and kicked off Financial Literacy Week.
Marla presented a program about products used at home, at work, for leisure, and for medical purposes. She discussed the means of researching products for their safety and proper use. She also, provided information about the rights of individuals who suffer injuries, due to the use of dangerous or defective products. Marla graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Urban Studies and Spanish. She received her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law and has been practicing for over 30 years. Fluent in Spanish, Marla is a frequent lecturer in community programs that focus on the rights and safety of workers as well as personal injury matters.
